The Gate

The idea of a gate between our universe and another one is a fascinating concept rooted in the theories of multiverses and quantum mechanics. While it remains purely speculative, some physicists theorize that if parallel universes exist, they may be connected through wormholes or other cosmic bridges. These hypothetical gates could serve as portals, allowing travel between different realities. However, without experimental evidence or a deeper understanding of the universe’s fabric, the existence of such gateways remains within the realm of science fiction. Still, it’s a captivating idea that fuels both imagination and scientific curiosity.
Paralyzed

Don’t you hate it when you are in a situation so deep that when you realize it’s time to move on and change, that it will now be more painful than ever. But every day you postpone it, the more difficult and painful it becomes. There’s all sorts of examples; a relationship, a job, a house, a friend etc etc.
The best advice is; just do it (Nike) and realize you aren’t making things easier or better by putting off the inevitable.
Just You and Me

I really enjoyed writing this song in this style. The inspiration comes from the story of a guy who finally musters up the courage to ask out a girl who’s well-known and admired by many. When she says yes, he’s so thrilled and proud that he can’t help but want to show the world that he’s with her. It’s about that moment of confidence and excitement when someone feels on top of the world, eager to show his date with everyone around them.
2 Minutes To Dawn

There was a movie back in 2005 called The Island about two people who lived in a highly controlled environment where every aspect of their lives was dictated, including what they ate, the jobs they performed, and even the strict prohibition on physical touch. After secretly communicating with someone from the outside, they learned there was an entire world beyond the one they knew. They eventually found a way to escape. This song reflects their anticipation for that escape.
We Are Strong

I wrote this song the day after Trump was shot in the head. Without getting political, it reminded me of how, the week after 9/11, I was amazed to see American flags on nearly every single car. I felt encouraged, believing that the entire country was coming together. But now, I doubt we’d see the same unity in the midst of a National tragedy. Our differences are no longer respected and embraced; instead, they have become acrimonious at best. This song encourages us to be that united, caring nation once again…not a divided, “pick a side” society.
